Nitronic 60, UNS S21800, Alloy 218 - Specifications and applications
Austenitic non-magnetic stainless steel has high strength properties - significant impact resistance, wear resistance and high hardness.
This grade can be used for high-temperature work and its corrosion resistance is comparable to that of materials 316, 316L and 304. The steel is used in the chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, mechanical (hydraulic systems) and food industries in the manufacture of valves, flanges, pump parts, springs, heat exchangers, screws and even chains.
